Today in class we ranked the religions in order by the percentage of the world's population who follows/ practices that religion using the CIA world fact book and then we checked the statistics using a website called adherents.com. Below are the rankings based on the CIA world fact book
CIA world fact book-
Christianity/Christians- 31.4%
Islam/Muslims- 23.2%
Hinduism/Hindus- 15%
Buddhism/Buddhist- 7.1%
Judaism/Jewish- 0.2%
Adherants.com-
Christianity/ Christians- 33%
Islam/Muslims- 21%
Hinduism/Hindus- 14%
Buddhism/Buddhist- 6%
Judaism/Jewish- 0.22%
Mr. Schick's-
Christianity/Christians- 30%
Islam/Muslims- 22.6%
Hinduism/Hindus- 14.6%
Buddhism/Buddhist- 6-20%
Judaism/Jewish- 2.1%
Both resources more or less had around the same numbers so I wouldn't say that either source was wrong. We also got to see what our exam grades were today and when I say it I was a little disappointed because I definitely expected better then that. I thought I got like a 96% on the objective part and when I saw that I got an 85% on that part I was a little frustrated. So I ended up getting an 88% on the exam which was literally so close to an A and I think that is why I am disappointed. But on the bright side I did get a 95% on the essay part which is a shocker because I am very bad at writing essay's. We also talked about the opportunity to get 10 extra credit points this weekend which is super easy to get because all you have to do is show up and take a picture to prove that you were there. But unfortunately I can not go this weekend because my parents are out of town so my grandparents have to take us to our sports games. All in all today's class was pretty good and it is almost the end of the day so yay!
