A Message To Garcia

Saturday September 8th, 2018

A Message to Garcia to me was talking about how when someone would ask for a favor to be done people would do it without complaining and go the extra steps to fulfill the task that they were given. No matter how hard it was there were always people that would try there hardest 100% of the time even when their boss was not there. Now a days people have become lazy and when they are asked to do a task that they think is to hard for them they try to pawn it off on someone else. Also even if they do the task a lot of people don't put a huge amount of effort into it and just try to get it done as fast as they can. I believe this relates to high school because the students have to realize that not everything is going to come easy in life and obstacles are going to be thrown in the way. Us as students have to embrace and take responsibility in what is being asked of us rather then trying to take the easy was out of it. All in all I believe that A Message To Garcia should be an eye opener to our generation and make us realize that sometimes we have to work harder then what we think to fulfill a certain request rather then being lazy and barely putting any effort in to it.

  1. I really like your spin on Hubbard's essay, Carson. I don't think your generation is that lazy, but all of us (me included) need to put the pedal to the metal once in awhile.
