Something New!!!!

Today in class we were given a packet of reading that was from the textbook rather then just taking notes from the board. To be honest I like taking notes from the board much more then reading from a textbook because I feel like I can understand when just the main point is on the board. We were given 15 minutes to read through the whole packet and highlight what we have learned. At first I was not looking forward to doing it but to be honest it was not that bad. Then once everyone was finished reading and highlighting we pulled up the PowerPoint on the board and compared it to the reading. It was interesting to see how even though the same company wrote both the PowerPoint and the textbook reading their was still differences. For example that in the PowerPoint 9% of the world's population are international migrants as the reading says that 3% of the world's population are international migrants. Other then that everything in the PowerPoint was very similar to the reading. Also the teacher was pretty shocked when I raised my hand and participated today because I never raise my hand and today I raised it twice, not once but twice. That is a new record. I realized that I need to start participating now because that will be our presentation credit for the semester. All in all I today's class went pretty good and now we are one day closer to exams which means one more day closer to Christmas. I am happy about Christmas but stressed about the exams.
