Today in class we talked about different parts of our culture and how they affect our society. For example after 9/11 occurred homeland security came around making airports, sports games, concerts and large crowds safer with the technology of metal detectors and lots of security. We also listened to Jason talk about his life in China and how a lot of people in China don't practice a religion. Then we talked about cremation and how when you are catholic you are not suppose to be cremated and are suppose to be buried which some people had different opinions about. Some people don't think it is wrong to be cremated and that they can still go to heaven when others believe that they need to be buried to go to heaven. We got a little off topic talking about murder and manslaughter but got back on track talking about our society and culture. All in all the examples we went over in class today helped me better understand the culture that are society follows along with the tradition.
